  1. Q: Whom do I contact about codes for classroom door locks?
    A: For ENG rooms 247, 335, 339, 285/7 and 189 contact Sandy Jacobs at 924-3806 or sandra.jacobs@sjsu.edu.
    • For rooms maintained by a department, such as ENG 393 or 205, contact the department’s administrative assistant.
    • For computer labs maintained by Engineering Computing Systems (ECS) contact Scott Pham at 924-4020 or scott.pham@sjsu.edu.
    • For other classrooms (which are not maintained by a department or ECS) contact Alan Martin at 924-3815 or alan.martin@sjsu.edu.
    Note: please let the person you call know why you want access to the room.
  2. Q: Whom do I contact about classroom change requests?
    A: If you need to change the room your class is in, please contact your department administrative assistant to prepare and submit necessary request forms.
  3. Q: Whom do I contact about one-time classroom reservations?
    A: If you need to make a one-time classroom reservation, please contact your department administrative assistant to prepare and submit necessary request forms.
  4. Q: Whom do I contact about conference/event room reservations?
    A: Some departments have their own conference rooms. Please check with your department administrative assistant first. ENG 247, 335 and 285/7 are available for faculty and staff to request by contacting Sandy Jacobs at92 4-3806. Please contact Sandy at least 72 hours before the event to check for availability. If this is for a non-SJSU group (e.g., company site visit, academic testing company, etc.), please contact Academic Scheduling (924-2448) at least 72 hours before the event to reserve a room.
  5. Q: Whom do I contact about auditorium reservations?
    A: For one-time, non-classroom usage of the Engineering Auditorium, ENG 189, contact Sandy Jacobs at 924-3806 at least 72 hours before your event to check for availability. Only SJSU faculty and staff may request to use this room.
  6. Q: Whom do I contact about classroom internet connection?
    A: Use the ECS website to file a work request. The website is constantly monitored by ECS.
    • Go to http://dolphin.engr.sjsu.edu/cgi-bin/OpenTrakRequest/requestFrame.pl
    • Log in with your first and last name and click "Proceed"
    • To expedite your request, choose "Network" in the drop box
    • Describe your problem or question in the message box.
    If you are unable to use the network during business hours (M-F, 8-5), call Ben Rashid at 924-4124
  7. Q: Whom do I contact about PC or overhead projectors?
    A: Contact your department technician about malfunctioning PC or overhead projectors. For problems with the projectors in ENG 189 or 285/7 contact Alan Martin at 924-3815.
  8. Q: Whom do I contact about heating and air conditioning?
    A: Place a service request on FD&O’s TMA website at http://admtma.sjsu.edu/. FD&O will email you once your request has been approved for work. You can check on the status of your request on the site as well. Please let your department administrative assistant know that you’ve made the request.
  9. Q: Whom do I contact if there’s an immediate facilities problem (e.g., water leak, backed-up plumbing, electrical problem)?
    A: Call the FD&O help desk at 924-1990. Be prepared to give your name, phone number, and the room number or building location of the problem.
